We are Section 1 residents who have lived here almost 30 years. Why do we pay our monthly homeowner’s assessment to the WHOA who then takes our money and spits in our face?
Over the past few weeks in District Two of Tamarac, Florida, I have been canvassing for Petition signatures to Recall and Remove a corrupt and now ineffective City Commissioner from her elected position. Spearheaded by both a Republican and Democratic precinct captains, I wanted to make a difference and joined the small force of like-minded citizens. While political recall may have been the presenting issue, the greater principle emerged very quickly. That is what it is to be a free and proactive American.
Patte Atkins Grad was not vindicated, she never denied taking money and a car in return for her vote, instead, her defense was she was too stupid to understand she was being bribed.

For those of you who did not or could not attend the Woodlands Homeowner Association meeting last night, it was brought up that our Section Presidents are not attending the Woodlands Neighborhood Improvement District meetings, which is ironic since all but one, voted it into existence.
Candidates should be truthful to their constituents and not say anything just to get elected here in the Woodlands
FPL scheduled a meeting last Monday to discuss the damage and the formal complaint I made to them regarding the hacking of the trees that grow along the 64th ave and White Oak Lane chain link fence border.

As a member of the Woodlands Neighborhood Improvement District’s new Planning Committee and someone who has attended almost all the WNID meetings, including meeting on Thursday, I am compelled to clarify much of the misinformation and affirm the correct information as stated by the comments on this website.
Though it came at the high price of a pedestrian first having to get injured while walking along Woodlands Boulevard, I must admit I was excited to learn that The Woodlands would finally be getting a much-needed, dedicated bike path. The city announced its intention to go forward with the HOA-requested project in April of 2011.
