Collins Elementary School invites community to join its 65th anniversary celebration

Dania Beach, Florida – Colling Elementary School in Dania Beach is inviting the community to join its 65th anniversary celebration. This event is scheduled for Tuesday, March 19, 2024, between 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. at the school premises located at 1050 N.W. Second Ave., Dania Beach. The celebration aims to highlight the school’s longstanding commitment to academic excellence, community involvement, and providing a supportive educational environment across generations.

Principal Tracy Jackson stated, “For 65 years, Collins Elementary has been a cornerstone of our community. We are incredibly proud of the legacy of excellence we have established and the positive impact we have had on countless students. This anniversary celebration is a chance for us to come together, reminisce about the past, and look forward to a bright future.”

The anniversary event is designed to be a morning filled with fun and community spirit. The festivities will begin with a parade featuring the students and staff of Collins Elementary, setting the stage for a ceremony on the basketball court to acknowledge the school’s accomplishments and celebrate its students. Noteworthy speeches are expected from District and City of Dania Beach officials.

The event will also include speeches from representatives of the District and the City of Dania Beach. Adding a special touch to the event, the Collins family, including Mrs. Leola Collins, will be in attendance.
