Miami, Florida – Miami-Dade County Animal Services and the PetWorking Foundation are introducing Pawrenthood Learning Talks, an innovative program aiming to uplift the standards of pet care and foster a more informed, responsible pet ownership culture. The first session is scheduled for Saturday, February 24th, at 11 a.m., hosted at the Pet Adoption and Protection Center in Doral. This collaborative effort seeks to address the issues of pet abandonment and mistreatment by educating the community on the essentials of compassionate pet care.

A Leap Towards Responsible Pet Ownership

Patricia ValdeRuten, the Director of the PetWorking Foundation, emphasized the significance of this partnership, highlighting the potential to significantly enhance animal welfare. The initiative is designed to empower potential adopters, new pet owners, and those seeking pet care guidance with the necessary knowledge to make well-informed decisions that prioritize the well-being of their pets and contribute positively to the community.

The Pawrenthood Learning Talks will cover a range of pertinent topics, including selecting the right dog for your family, what to expect after adopting a pet, fostering a strong bond between kids and pets, and veterinary insights from Dr. Cristina Bustamante. Additionally, the program will feature engaging activities to ensure children learn about pet care in an enjoyable and interactive manner.

This educational series promises a blend of practical advice, professional insights, and fun, aiming to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of the responsibilities involved in pet ownership. The event is free, but with limited space available, interested attendees are encouraged to register early.
