Tamarac, Florida – The City of Tamarac invites board members of Homeowners’ Associations (HOA) to its Quarterly HOA Liaison Meeting on Thursday, November 21, from 5 to 8 p.m. Held via Zoom, the virtual event seeks to provide board members with the necessary information to satisfy new state certification criteria scheduled to take effect on July 1, 2024.

Hosted in association with Emily Gannon, Esq., from the legal firm Kaye Bender Rembaum, this instructional event will center on the statutory duties and responsibilities of HOA board members. The training is meant to enable participants to comply with revised legislative rules while better serving their communities.

This conference offers board members an opportunity to deepen their knowledge of governance and the vital part they play in their local communities, not only a legal obligation.

Every participant has to register individually for the free webinar and log in using their unique Zoom credentials on the day of the event to guarantee adherence to the new regulations. For the Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) Division of Florida Condominiums, Timeshares & Mobile Homes, this individual registration method ensures correct documentation of attendance, therefore proving compliance.

Those board members who finish the course will satisfy the certification criteria set by the new law. Note, nevertheless, that this course has been specifically developed for members of HOA boards. To satisfy their particular state requirements, those sitting on boards for cooperatives or condos must seek alternative certification training.
