Boca Raton, Florida – The Florida Highway Patrol is looking into a fatal accident involving two vehicles that happened over the weekend in Palm Beach County.

A young man, 20 years old, from Boynton Beach, lost his life in this accident. The crash happened on the northbound side of Florida’s Turnpike on Sunday morning, just a bit south of Glades Road, in the Boca Raton area.

In the FHP’s detailed report, it was mentioned that a red Toyota was going north on the turnpike, getting close to Glades Road. At the same time, the young man who died was on his motorcycle, also heading north but in the outside lane of the turnpike near Glades Road.

The report explained that the person driving the Toyota switched over to this outside lane and ended up hitting the left side of the motorcycle.

This collision caused the motorcycle to veer off to the side of the road. The young man was thrown off his bike and landed on the Toyota’s hood. He ended up stopping in a grass ditch, about 428 feet away from his motorcycle. The Palm Beach County Fire Rescue team came quickly to the scene. Unfortunately, they confirmed that the young man had passed away.
