Miami, Florida – The Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) in Miami-Dade County has announced an important notice for residents and commuters. The SW 2nd Avenue Bridge, a crucial link between downtown Miami and the Brickell area, will be temporarily closed to vehicular traffic due to a movie production.

Scheduled Closure Details

The bridge closure is set for the upcoming weekend, specifically on Saturday, March 2, and Sunday, March 3, 2024. The affected segment will be between 3rd and 8th Streets, with the closure lasting from 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on both days.

Public vessels of the United States and vessels in distress will be given priority and allowed to pass at any time, ensuring minimal disruption to marine navigation.

Motorists are advised to plan their travel accordingly and seek alternate routes during the closure period. DTPW has also ensured that all necessary detours will be clearly posted to facilitate ease of movement around the affected area.
