Free Tamarac event scheduled for April 18 invites young people to build life skills and explore future goals

Tamarac, Florida – A day focused on growth, confidence and future goals is coming to Tamarac, where local youth will soon have a chance to step into a space designed just for them.
The Annual Youth Symposium, titled Level Up – Becoming Your Best Self!, is set for Saturday, April 18, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Tamarac Community Center, 8601 W. Commercial Blvd.
The free event is being presented by Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. Delta Upsilon Sigma Alumnae Chapter in collaboration with City of Tamarac District 4 Commissioner Dr. Kicia Daniel.
Organizers are inviting young people ages 8 to 18 to take part in a full day built around learning, connection and personal development.
The symposium is expected to bring together youth, educators and community professionals for a program centered on education, awareness and confidence-building.

Rather than offering just a series of speeches, the event is designed to be hands-on and engaging. Participants will be able to take part in interactive activities, attend life skills sessions and explore college and career resources.
Scholarship tips will also be part of the experience, giving older students practical guidance as they begin thinking more seriously about the road ahead.
The gathering is aimed at helping young people build knowledge they can use in everyday life while also encouraging stronger decision-making and meaningful conversations.

Organizers describe it as an opportunity for attendees to connect with others, learn from professionals and enjoy a welcoming environment where personal growth is front and center.
In addition to workshops and presentations, the symposium will also include social engagement, raffles, giveaways and free lunch.
The mix of activities is meant to keep the event both useful and enjoyable, blending serious guidance with an upbeat community atmosphere.
With spring bringing a fresh stretch of the year, the symposium offers a timely chance for young people to invest in themselves and think about what comes next.
For families in Tamarac and nearby communities, it represents more than just a weekend event. It is a place where encouragement, opportunity and practical advice come together under one roof.
Registration is open now at DUssymposium26.eventbrite.com.
