Tamarac is taking fall fun into the pool with pumpkins, splashing and family activities at Great Pumpkin Splash on October 17

Tamarac, Florida – Fall in Tamarac is getting a decidedly wetter twist this October. Instead of keeping pumpkins on porches and seasonal fun on dry land, the city is inviting families to bring the celebration poolside for an event mixing classic autumn activities with time in the water.

The Great Pumpkin Splash is scheduled for Saturday, October 17, from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Caporella Aquatic Complex, 9300 NW 58th St. Admission is $5 per guest, with space limited and advance registration required.

The event is designed as a family-friendly fall celebration with several activities packed into one morning and early afternoon. Guests will be able to pick pumpkins and decorate them, while water activities add an aquatic element to the traditional fall festival experience. Balloon art and other family activities are also planned.

Organizers are encouraging families to arrive ready for both pumpkins and splashing. The event is sponsored by P.A.R.O.T., and the concession stand at the aquatic complex will be open during the celebration.

One part of the facility, however, will not be available. The city said the kids water activity area will be closed because of renovations. Other scheduled activities connected to the Great Pumpkin Splash are still planned as announced.

With the event lasting three and a half hours, families can move between pumpkin-themed activities, water fun and other entertainment throughout the program.

Pre-registration is required, and residents interested in attending can sign up through Tamarac.me/Events. Because attendance is limited, the city is encouraging families to register before available spaces are filled.

The Great Pumpkin Splash gives Tamarac families a different way to mark the season, combining the familiar sight of pumpkins with an aquatic complex that is usually associated more with summer than October.
