Broward County Transit rolls out game-day express routes to ease NHL Finals congestion

Broward County, Florida – Fans going to Amerant Bank Arena to watch the Florida Panthers play the Edmonton Oilers in the 2025 NHL Finals don’t have to worry about parking anymore. Broward County Transit (BCT) has made it much easier to get to the game.
BCT has started its “Ride with the Cats” Express Service to enable fans escape traffic jams on game day and travel in comfort. The special transit option is meant to quickly get large groups of people to and from the arena, providing hockey fans a way to avoid traffic stress.
Service is being available for the Panthers’ home games on Thursday, June 12 at 8:00 p.m. for Game 4 and, if needed, on Tuesday, June 17 at 8:00 p.m. for Game 6. The Central Terminal in downtown Fort Lauderdale and Government Center West in Plantation are the two main places where buses will depart.
From the Central Terminal, fans can get a trip at 5:30 p.m., 6:00 p.m., or 6:30 p.m. From GC West, departure timings are set for 6:00 p.m., 6:30 p.m., and 7:00 p.m. After the game, busses will leave Amerant Bank Arena at 11:15 p.m., 11:45 p.m., and 12:15 a.m., or about every half hour after the final buzzer.
Government Center West has free parking to make the trip even easier. The ride costs only $2 each way, and fans are advised to bring exact change or use BCT’s Mobile Ticketing App to pay online.

This isn’t just about transportation—it’s about bringing the community together to rally behind the Panthers during one of the biggest moments in franchise history. With packed stands, a lot of enthusiasm, and a championship on the line, BCT’s support lets supporters focus on applauding instead of driving.
Leave the car behind, skip the stress, and ride with the Cats. The ride to the rink is the first step on the road to victory.
