December 13, 2023 officially declared as Tamarac Fire Department Appreciation Day in Broward County

Tamarac, Florida – Representing Broward County Commissioner Michael Udine and District Director Beth Talabisco joined the City of Tamarac’s Commission Meeting on Wednesday night to present a proclamation to Tamarac Fire Rescue’s EMS “World Rescue Challenge” Team and the 2023 Bernie Tillson Memorial EMS Challenge Team. The proclamation declared December 13, 2023, as Tamarac Fire Department Appreciation Day in Broward County.

Held in Lanzarote, Spain, the 2023 World Rescue Challenge is an international competition that brings emergency service teams together from around the world to showcase and enhance their rescue skills. Competing against the best first responders, Tamarac Fire Rescue earned first place in the Trauma Standard Scenario and placed 11th overall out of 32 teams.

Tamarac EMS Competition Team won the 2023 Bernie Tillson Memorial EMS Challenge

The Tamarac EMS Competition Team took first place at the 2023 Bernie Tillson Memorial EMS Challenge, which gives first responders a chance to sharpen and demonstrate their emergency management skills.

These results once again show Tamarac Fire Rescue team dedication and commitment to profesianlly serve the community and local residents, with safety being top priority.

Broward County Commissioner Michael Udine congratulated the team on Facebook saying that the City of Tamarac, Broward County and local residents are all proud and thankful to have such incredible first responders in our community!
