Miami, Florida – The Miami-Dade County Community Action and Human Services Department (CAHSD) is excited to announce that applications for educational scholarships are still being accepted through the Family and Community Services Division and the Office of Neighborhood Safety (ONS) until July 22, 2024. This initiative aims to support local students in their pursuit of higher education.
Scholarship Details and Eligibility
CAHSD is offering 24 scholarships, each worth $1,500, to eligible students residing in Miami-Dade County. To qualify for the ONS-sponsored scholarships, applicants must be between 16 and 25 years old and either enrolled in or planning to attend a college or vocational institution in the fall. Additionally, candidates must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0. Another crucial eligibility requirement is that applicants’ household income must not exceed 200% of the Community Service Block Grant Poverty Income Guidelines.
