Miami Shores, Florida – A lucky Powerball player won a $214 million jackpot in the May 6 drawing! The winning ticket was purchased at Publix. The Publix store that sold the multi-million-dollar winning ticket is located at 9050 Biscayne Boulevard in Miami Shores. The winning numbers were 7, 23, 24, 56, and 60, with the Powerball number being 25. This jackpot contributed an impressive $13.5 million to Florida’s Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF).
Jackpot Winner Remains a Mystery
The winner has the option of receiving their prize in 30 annual installments or as a lump sum of about $100.1 million. The identity of the lucky ticket holder is yet to be revealed. The Publix retailer that sold the winning ticket will receive a $100,000 bonus commission.

Since Florida joined the Powerball in 2009, the game has generated more than $2.9 billion in funding for education. Florida is among the top-selling states in the country, having produced more than 137.1 million winning tickets and over $3.74 billion in prizes, including 16 jackpot winners.
