Senator Ashley Moody receives national recognition for outstanding constituent service to Floridians

Florida – U.S. Senator Ashley Moody has received national recognition for her work helping Floridians navigate federal agencies and resolve individual concerns, earning a prestigious award for constituent service less than a year after taking office.

The Congressional Management Foundation announced this week that Moody’s office has been selected as the recipient of the 2026 Democracy Award for Best of Constituent Service. The recognition highlights congressional offices that demonstrate exceptional dedication to helping constituents solve problems involving federal agencies and government programs.

According to the organization, Moody is the first U.S. senator to receive the Best of Constituent Service Democracy Award after serving only one year in office.

The award recognizes congressional offices that excel in handling casework, resolving constituent concerns, and providing personalized assistance while maintaining a strong commitment to helping the people they represent.

Recognition for helping thousands of Floridians

Since entering the Senate, Moody’s Constituent Services Team has assisted nearly 9,000 Floridians seeking help with issues involving federal agencies.

Among those assisted were more than 1,000 veterans and active-duty military members who turned to the senator’s office for support and guidance.

Moody credited the achievement to the efforts of her staff and their commitment to serving residents across Florida.

“Throughout my career, serving the people of our great state has been my highest priority, and it is a tremendous honor to receive this national award recognizing my team’s hard work. Earning this recognition so soon after taking office proves we have assembled a remarkable group of people dedicated to helping others. We have the best public servants in the nation, and I am blessed to work alongside them every day as we help Floridians navigate complex issues and federal agencies,” said Senator Ashley Moody.

The award focuses on offices that demonstrate strong performance in several key areas, including timely responses, personalized assistance, effective problem-solving, and persistence in helping constituents reach solutions.

Officials with the Congressional Management Foundation said Moody’s office stood out because of its approach to assisting individuals facing difficult situations involving government agencies.

Award highlights congressional service beyond legislation

The Democracy Awards are designed to recognize congressional achievements that occur outside the legislative process. While lawmakers are often known for sponsoring bills and voting on policy, the awards place special emphasis on constituent services and other non-legislative work performed by congressional offices.

Jen Daulby praised Moody’s office for its dedication to helping residents overcome challenges.

“Constituent service is Congress doing its most fundamental job, one person, one case, one problem at a time. Senator Moody’s office didn’t just respond to requests; they built systems, trained teams, and stayed in the fight on cases that most people would have walked away from. When we say Congress can work, this is what we mean,” said Daulby.

According to the foundation, winners are selected based on qualities such as attention to detail, empathy, persistence, and a demonstrated ability to resolve complicated constituent issues.

The Congressional Management Foundation describes itself as a bipartisan organization dedicated to strengthening Congress and improving its effectiveness. Its Democracy Awards program honors congressional offices that achieve excellence in serving the public.

For Moody, the recognition represents an important turning point early in her Senate career and highlights the role constituent services play in connecting elected officials with the people they represent. By assisting thousands of Floridians with federal agency matters, her office earned recognition for work that often takes place behind the scenes but can have a direct impact on residents’ daily lives.
