Pembroke Pines, Florida – On Thursday morning, firefighters rushed to put out a fire at an apartment complex in Pembroke Pines. The incident happened around 8 a.m. at the Encino Apartments, which are at 14927 SW 15th St., on the building’s north side. Quickly, the fire crews got the situation under control.

Officials noted that the fire started at the back of the building, affecting mainly a bedroom and a patio area.

There was one person living in the apartment where the fire happened. They got out safely and are currently displaced, as the building suffered a lot of damage as a result of the fire, as mentioned by a fire official.

The fire happened in the gated Grand Palms community, but the firefighters were able to keep it under control. They worked on stopping any remaining hot spots from reigniting.

The fire crew also took apart some drywall to make sure there were no more hidden hot spots left.

The authorities are still looking into the cause of the fire.
