Miami, Florida – Vice Chairman Anthony Rodriguez, in partnership with Neighbors And Neighbors Association (NANA), is inviting small business owners in District 10 to apply for the annual Mom and Pop Small Business Grant Program. This initiative provides financial support to local small businesses, offering grants of up to $5,000 per business to help with various operational costs.
Grant Details and Eligibility
The grant funds can be used for purchasing equipment, supplies, inventory, commercial liability insurance, security systems, advertising, marketing, minor renovations, salaries, wages, and rent or mortgage payments. To qualify for the grant, businesses must meet specific eligibility criteria:
- The business must have been in operation for at least one year.
- The business must be for-profit.
- A physical address is required (no P.O. Boxes allowed), though home-based businesses are eligible to apply.

Application Process
Applications will be available from July 8 through July 19 at the District 10 Office, located at 7146 SW 117th Ave., Miami, FL 33183. Alternatively, applications can be downloaded directly from the Miami-Dade County website.
An in-person informational workshop will be held on July 17 at 10 a.m. at the Westchester Regional Library, First Floor Auditorium, 9445 SW 24th St., Miami, FL 33165. This workshop aims to provide prospective applicants with detailed information about the program and guidance on the application process.
Submission Guidelines
Completed applications must be hand-delivered in a sealed envelope to the District 10 Office between July 22 and July 26, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Late applications will not be accepted, so timely submission is crucial.
