Driver Engineer Scott Hudanich wins 2023 Tamarac Firefighter of the Year Award
Tamarac, Florida – Some exciting news was shared on Wednesday by the Tamarac Fire Rescue on Facebook. According to the department, Driver Engineer Scott Hudanich won the 2023 Tamarac Firefighter of the Year Award for his commitment and dedication to the job.

Driver Engineer Scott Hudanich is well-known for his exceptional work ethics. He was chosen for the award by his fellow team members, those who knows how much Scott Hudanich is dedicated to his work duties.

Retired Driver Engineer, Mike Petz, has passed away
Tamarac Fire Rescue earlier this week announced that retired Driver Engineer, Mike Petz, has passed away earlier this month. With great sadness, the Tamarac Fire Rescue confirmed that Petz passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2023.
Driver Engineer Petz began his career with Tamarac Fire Rescue in 1977 and served the citizens of Tamarac for 28 years before retiring late 2004.
Mike Petz was a valued member of this department, and he will be missed by his fellow retirees and all the members of Tamarac Fire Rescue.
