The City of Tamarac is officially launching applications for the much-awaited 2025 class of Tamarac University (TU), an eight-week, interactive curriculum meant to provide people with a thorough peek behind the scenes of city governance and public service. Applications for this amazing and completely free educational opportunity are being accepted through Friday, January 24, 2025 at 5:00 PM.
Tamarac University’s annual citizen academy is geared toward providing an immersive experience in city operations. Beginning in March, the initiative will allow a small number of chosen individuals to meet personally in a classroom-like environment with elected politicians, department directors, and other important city workers. Through weekly seminars, participants will acquire knowledge about the inner workings of the departments of the city, learn about their roles, and grasp the particular difficulties in preserving public services.
