Lauderhill, Florida – A pedestrian lost his life on Sunrise Boulevard following an incident that took place around 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday in the 3500 block, close to the Swap Shop in Lauderhill. Authorities are now searching for the driver responsible.

The incident occurred when the driver of an SUV struck a man who was crossing the street. Following the crash, the driver did not stop to provide any assistance and fled the scene. The first responders who arrived at the scene pronounced the victim dead. Authorities have not yet disclosed the victim’s identity.

Homicide detectives spent several hours at the scene, working to gather evidence and clues that could lead them to the driver. Despite their efforts, there is currently no additional information or description of the vehicle involved. This lack of details makes the search for the hit-and-run driver all the more challenging.

The police are appealing to the public for assistance. They urge anyone with information about this incident to come forward and call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
