Fort Lauderdale, Florida – Thanks to the free Pet Wellness Clinics run by Broward County Animal Care, residents of Broward County have an exclusive opportunity to make sure their pets start the new year on a healthy note. The clinics seek to offer free, essential pet treatments including vaccines, microchipping, and local pet registration. Officials are advising pet owners to pre-register to guarantee their spot; these events will take place at two sites in January and are first come, first served.

“These clinics are a great way for Broward County residents to access free, essential care for their pets,” said Doug Brightwell, Director of Broward County Animal Care. “From vaccines to microchips, we’re here to keep pets safe, healthy, and compliant with local requirements.”

The first of the January clinics will take place on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at the Tyrone Bryant Library located at 2230 NW 21st Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, from 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM. From the same morning to afternoon hours, the second session will be held Friday, January 24, 2025 at the Carver Ranches Library, located at 4735 SW 18th St, West Park.

Broward County Animal Care is dedicated not just to public safety and community education but also to pet wellness. Combining community animal care, fair services, and world-class shelter operations, the organization offers a necessary service to the local animal population as well as to its citizens. These and other projects meant to improve the lives of nearby animals and their owners find their base at their headquarters, 2400 SW 42nd Street in Fort Lauderdale.
