Broward Schools opens the floor for small businesses to network showcase and grow in Sunrise

Sunrise, Florida – Broward Schools is marking National Small Business Month with an event built to do more than celebrate.

It is creating a space where local entrepreneurs can be seen, heard, and connected. Through its Economic Development Opportunities & Compliance division, the district is preparing for a Small Business Month Mixer that will bring together business owners, community leaders, and decision-makers for an afternoon centered on growth, visibility, and opportunity.

Set for Thursday, May 21, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Signature Sunrise, 10610 W Oakland Park Blvd. in Sunrise, the gathering is being promoted as a business showcase and networking experience.

The event is free to attend, though registration is required through bit.ly/SmallBusinessMixer2026. Organizers say the mixer will highlight outreach and business opportunities designed to support small companies while also giving them a place to introduce their products, services, and brands to a wider audience.

At the center of the event is a call for 25 vendors to participate as Signature Exhibitors. Broward Schools is inviting business owners who want to strengthen their presence and expand their reach to apply for one of the limited exhibitor tables.

Selected participants will have the chance to present their business in person while also benefiting from promotional exposure tied to the event.

The exhibitor opportunity includes a display table, branding opportunities, and direct networking with attendees.

The event will also include a DJ, food, and a lively atmosphere meant to keep the experience energetic and welcoming.

Businesses interested in being considered must apply by April 30. Requests should be sent by email to [email protected] using the subject line “Small Business Mixer Table.” Final selections will be made by the EDOC team and must align with the theme of the event.
