Broward Sheriff’s Office invites Tamarac residents to Operation Medicine Cabinet and Shred-A-Thon event

Tamarac, Florida – The Broward Sheriff’s Office invites the community to participate in the Operation Medicine Cabinet and Shred-A-Thon event this Saturday, May 11. This event provides a secure method for residents to dispose of unwanted or expired medications and to shred sensitive documents.

The event is set to take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Kings Point, located at 7620 N. Nob Hill Road in Tamarac. This free community service event is an excellent opportunity for residents to properly dispose of their unwanted prescription medications and have their personal documents shredded in a secure manner.

Participants who bring in prescription medications for disposal will receive a $5 gift card, available while supplies last. Please note that needles and other sharp objects cannot be accepted at this event.

In addition to medication disposal, the event will offer document shredding services. Participants are allowed to bring a maximum of two boxes per vehicle for shredding, with each box not exceeding 16 inches in length, 12 inches in width, and 12 inches in height.
