The festivities are set to begin on Friday, March 1, with “Groove on the Grass- Concert in the Park,” promising a lively start to the season. Caporella Park, located at 5200 Prospect Road, will come alive from 7-9 p.m. with the sounds of musical entertainment courtesy of T-Wave. Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair and settle in for a night of music, food trucks, and inflatable rides, offering a perfect evening out for neighbors, families, and friends.

The celebration continues on March 8 with “Movie in the Park” at Tamarac Park. Starting at 6:30 p.m., guests will be treated to a screening of “The Little Mermaid” on a huge inflatable screen. The evening will be complemented with pre-movie lawn games, more inflatable rides, and a variety of local food trucks serving up delicious eats.

On March 16, the Caporella Aquatic Complex will host the “Wet & Wild Egg Splash,” a fun-filled egg hunt in the water starting at 10 a.m. The event is designed for kids aged 2 to 10 years and requires pre-registration online. With an entry fee of just $5 per guest, it’s an affordable way to dive into spring fun.

Peter Cottontail’s Springfest marks the next event on the calendar, set for March 23. Taking place at the Tamarac Sports Complex, this outdoor egg hunt and family day out starts at 10 a.m. and is geared towards children 10 and under. Families can look forward to face painting, bounce houses, and lawn games, making for a memorable spring celebration.

The culinary delights of South Florida take center stage at “Food Truck Friday” on March 29 at the Tamarac Community Center. Starting at 5 p.m., a lineup of food trucks will offer some of the tastiest treats around, with a changing roster each month to keep the offerings fresh and exciting.

Wrapping up the month’s events is “Hoops Fest” on March 30, also at the Tamarac Community Center. This basketball-focused event invites young adults aged 10 to 17 to participate in a 3-point shooting contest, with medals awarded to the top three winners in each age group.
