Free Aug. 28 hiring event opens doors to careers across Fort Lauderdale airport operations

Fort Lauderdale, Florida – For job seekers in South Florida, one August morning could open the door to dozens of different careers without ever leaving the airport industry.

Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport is bringing employers together for the 2026 FLL Airport Job Fair on Friday, Aug. 28, giving applicants four hours to meet hiring representatives, polish their resumes and sharpen their interview skills.

The free, in-person event will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Broward County Convention Center, 1950 Eisenhower Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale. Doors open at 8:30 a.m., parking is free, and participants ages 16 and older can attend.

Rather than focusing only on airline jobs, the fair will highlight the much broader workforce needed to keep Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport operating each day. Participating employers and agencies will represent areas including retail and concessions, ground transportation, parking, security, janitorial services, law enforcement, airline subcontractors and other airport-support operations.

The event is aimed at a wide range of applicants, from people entering the workforce to experienced employees considering a career change or looking for opportunities within the airport environment. Job seekers will be able to speak directly with hiring managers and learn about available positions and the work behind airport operations.

Career preparation will also be a major part of the day.

From 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., the Broward County Human Resources Division will provide individual resume reviews. Participants can meet one-on-one with a human resources professional for approximately 15 to 20 minutes and receive specific feedback. Applicants are encouraged to bring printed copies of their resumes. Reviews will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis, with no appointment required.
