Miami-Dade County – The Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) in Miami-Dade County is ensuring residents and visitors will have access to their regular public transportation services during Presidents’ Day on February 19, 2024. This means that Metrobus, Metrorail, and Metromover will all follow the usual weekday schedules, despite the holiday.

While the transit services will operate as usual, it’s important to note that Miami-Dade County offices, along with all DTPW administrative offices, will not be open. This includes Customer Service offices, Transit Service Centers, Special Transportation Services (STS), and the Golden Passport office located at the Stephen P. Clark Center. For those requiring Special Transportation Services, it’s important to note that the STS reservation line at 305-871-1111 will remain operational, enabling customers to book or cancel trips as needed.

DTPW encourages passengers to take advantage of their online services. Passengers can easily buy or reload an EASY Card through the Transit Store or the Go-Miami Dade App. Additionally, Metrorail faregates are equipped to accept various contactless payment options, including debit and credit cards and mobile wallets, for cards issued within the United States. Furthermore, new applications for a Golden Passport EASY Card can be submitted on DTPW’s Golden Passport online page, ensuring continued access to transit benefits for eligible residents.
