Miami, Florida – Miami-Dade County Animal Services, in collaboration with Friends of Miami Animals Foundation Inc. (FoMA), is delighted to introduce the Wellness on Wheels (WOW) Mobile veterinary clinic at the John F. Kennedy Public Library. This initiative provides critical veterinary services to the community’s pet owners at no cost.

Free Pet Wellness Services

WOW Mobile, a fully-equipped veterinary service, is stationed at the JFK Public Library located at 190 W 49th St, Hialeah, FL 33012, offering its services until August 28, 2024.

The mobile clinic operates from Monday through Wednesday, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., ensuring that pet owners in Miami-Dade County have access to essential veterinary care for their dogs and cats.

Services include wellness vaccines and boosters, deworming, flea prevention, and referrals for low-cost or no-cost spay/neuter surgeries. It’s important to note that the WOW Mobile is closed from Thursday through Sunday and on all county-observed holidays.

The initiative targets underserved neighborhoods identified as veterinary deserts, providing much-needed support in areas with limited access to veterinary services. This outreach is crucial in maintaining the health of the community’s pets and preventing common diseases.

Support Through FoMA

These invaluable services are funded through a generous donation and grant from the Friends of Miami Animals Foundation Inc., which continues to support efforts to enhance the welfare of animals across the county. The WOW Mobile is a vital part of these efforts, extending healthcare access to pets that might otherwise go untreated.

For residents interested in utilizing these services, the clinic operates on a first-come, first-serve basis, and capacity is limited. This ensures that every visit is thorough and that each pet receives the best care possible.
