Miami-Dade resource fair offers health, education, and job services to Liberty Square residents on October 5

Miami, Florida – In an effort to increase community support and resources, Miami-Dade County has organized a comprehensive resource fair scheduled for October 5, 2024, at Liberty Square, Miami. Under the direction of the County Public Housing and Community Development department as well as District 3 Commissioner Keon Hardemon, the event seeks to give the locals vital tools and services.

Set to take place at 6304 NW 14th Ave, the fair, open from 10:00 a.m. to 02:00 p.m., promises an educational and encouraging day for all visitors. Designed to uplifts the community and create a more inclusive environment across Miami-Dade, it strives to link people and families with a wide range of services including health, education, jobs, and social support networks.

The primary goal is community empowerment; with this fair, organizers seek to meet the needs of the citizens by giving them direct access to the services that can significantly change their life.

Many respected community partners will be on hand to help participants and offer information on their offerings. These include  the New Horizons Community Mental Health Center, Miami-Dade County Public Schools, and the Miami-Dade Public Library System. Among other noteworthy players are the Greater Miami Service Corps, Florida Rights Restoration Coalition, The Children’s Trust, CareerSource South Florida, and City of Miami Police.

Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, who will also be present at the event, expressed her excitement about the effort as she expects this resource fair to reflect a crucial stage towards establishing a resilient and inclusive city where everyone has access to the resources they need to achieve.

Apart from giving residents access to basic resources, the fair gives them a chance to interact personally with their local government and service providers, so enabling a better knowledge of the support accessible to them.
