Tamarac launches Scholars Program offering up to $2,500 in scholarships to residents pursuing college, university, or trade school education

Tamarac, Florida – The City of Tamarac has launched the Tamarac Scholars Program in what appears to be a bold effort to promote professional training and education in the local community. This creative project aims to significantly help local adults returning to educational institutions, including colleges, universities, and trade schools as well as local students.

The Tamarac Scholars Program is part of a larger local campaign to enhance its dedication to public education and workforce development. The program’s goal is to provide new paths for academic and professional development for its residents by providing financial help through scholarships and enabling practical experiences via internships.

Especially generous is the scholarship aspect of the program, which offers eligible candidates awards of up to $2,500. Available to locals attending two-year or four-year colleges and universities, as well as those enrolled in trade schools, this financial help is meant to offset the load of educational costs. The aim is to make education more reachable and affordable for all Tamarac residents, hence promoting a more qualified and knowledgeable workforce.

Applicants for the Tamarac Scholars Program must be city residents and must go through an application procedure including verification of residency and an acceptance letter from the educational institution they intend to attend. The application process is streamlined and entirely digital, with applicants required to submit their applications online starting April 1, 2025, at 9 a.m.
