Tamarac Community Garage Sale returns October 3 with free admission and dozens of bargain finds

Tamarac, Florida – For one Saturday morning in October, bargain hunting in Tamarac will get much easier. Instead of driving from neighborhood to neighborhood, shoppers can browse dozens of potential finds in one place, and admission will not cost anything.

The City of Tamarac’s Community Garage Sale returns Saturday, Oct. 3, bringing furniture, clothing, toys, books, kitchenware, décor, collectibles and other secondhand goods to Tamarac Park.

The sale runs from 7:30 a.m. to noon at the Tamarac Recreation Center and Tamarac Park, 7501 N. University Drive. The city says the event will take place rain or shine, and shoppers can enter for free.

Tamarac Parks and Recreation is promoting the event as a chance for residents to find useful and unusual items without spending heavily. Shoppers are encouraged to bring reusable bags and browse the variety of household goods offered by participating vendors.

For residents hoping to sell rather than shop, registration remains open through Oct. 2. Early registration, which ran from July 1 through Aug. 16, cost $35 per space. The late-registration rate is $50 per space from Aug. 17 through Oct. 2.

City promotional materials also list a $30 refundable clean-up fee. Vendor spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and the city does not provide tables or chairs.

Registration is available online through Tamarac’s WebTrac system or in person at Tamarac Park. Vendors seeking specific setup information can contact Tamarac Parks and Recreation at 954-597-3674.

The organized sale also offers a different option from holding a garage sale at home. Tamarac limits garage sales at an individual residential address to three per year and regulates related signage. The city-run event brings sellers together at one established location along University Drive.

Community garage sales have been part of Tamarac’s Parks and Recreation programming for years, with events typically held at the same park campus. For 2026, the key details are set: Oct. 3, 7:30 a.m. to noon, free admission for shoppers and vendor registration available until the day before the sale.

Additional event information is available through the city’s Special Events page or by calling Tamarac Parks and Recreation at 954-597-3674.
