Bravo Supermarkets and BeautyMaster get official Tamarac welcome at busy University Drive shopping center, opening Sep. 4
Tamarac, Florida – A grocery store, a beauty destination and one of Tamarac’s busiest commercial corners will share the spotlight next week as the city gives two McNab Plaza businesses an official community welcome.
The City of Tamarac is hosting a grand opening celebration Friday, Sept. 4, for Bravo Supermarkets and neighboring BeautyMaster, bringing attention to two retailers that have already opened their doors along North University Drive.
The businesses sit side by side at the northwest corner of University Drive and McNab Road. Bravo Supermarkets operates at 7015 N University Drive, while BeautyMaster is next door at 7019 N University Drive.
Bravo has taken over roughly 25,000 square feet formerly occupied by Winn-Dixie. The independently owned neighborhood grocery chain signed a lease for the space in 2022, becoming part of a broader redevelopment that also brought storefront improvements to McNab Plaza.
The supermarket focuses heavily on Latin American, Caribbean and international foods while offering the services of a traditional full-service grocery store. Typical departments include meat and seafood counters, a bakery, deli, prepared hot foods and cafeteria offerings.
Bravo is open from 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and until 9 p.m. Sunday. The store can be reached at (954) 953-8814.
BeautyMaster’s story at the plaza began earlier this year. The beauty supply retailer had a soft opening in mid-April before holding its own grand opening May 2, featuring $1 deals, games, prizes and giveaways.

Its inventory includes K-beauty products, wigs, braiding hair, lashes, nail products, skincare and fashion merchandise. Regular hours generally run from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., with later hours on Friday and Saturday. Its phone number is (954) 208-8089.
Friday’s city-sponsored event now brings the neighboring stores together for what appears to be their formal community welcome at McNab Plaza.
Specific details about the Sept. 4 program remain limited. The city’s Facebook listing identifies it as a shopping event, but an exact start time, ribbon-cutting schedule, entertainment lineup or giveaway information has not been publicly detailed in the information currently available.
Both businesses are already operating, so shoppers do not have to wait for the celebration to visit.
Their arrival adds two sizable retail choices to a plaza already home to Aldi, CVS, Dunkin’, Wendy’s and several banks. McNab Plaza also sits near HCA Florida Woodmont Hospital and Tamarac Elementary School, placing the stores along a well-traveled section of western Broward County.
Residents looking for updated details about Friday’s celebration can follow the City of Tamarac and its Facebook event listing as Sept. 4 approaches.
