Broward County seeks bold, interactive works for landmark IGNITE Broward 2026, application deadline is August 15

Broward County, Florida – As IGNITE Broward officially announces its call for artists for the 2026 festival, the countdown has begun for one of South Florida’s most exciting cultural events. The event is celebrating its fifth year and promises to be larger, brighter, and bolder than before. The festival will take place from February 13 to 22, 2026, in several places, such as ArtsPark at Young Circle in Hollywood and MAD Arts in Dania Beach.
The Broward County Cultural Division and MAD Arts put together IGNITE Broward, which has grown into a big festival of creativity and technology. The 2025 edition saw more than 80,000 people, making it South Florida’s best place to see immersive art and digital innovation.
Artists, designers, and creative technologists from all over the world are now welcome to send in ideas that push the limits of traditional art. The open call promotes works that include sound, light, and interactivity in order to get a wide range of people involved in interesting and important ways. Organizers are especially interested in works that are ready to be moved, can be used by a lot of people, and are interactive.
Every proposal needs to have up to five examples of past work, a clear explanation of the project along with pictures, a technical rider, and a full budget breakdown. Artists are also asked to say whether they can handle setting up and taking down. Artists can suggest extra programming like talks or workshops, but works that are already made and ready to be installed will be given priority.
All submissions must be finished by August 15, 2025, using Submittable.
