Tamarac residents invited to share dinner and conversation with local Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies on Sept. 17

Tamarac, Florida – Tamarac residents will soon be able to share a meal and conversation with the deputies who work every day to keep their neighborhoods safe and secure. The Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO) invites everyone to a casual get-together on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at Mannino’s Italian Restaurant, located at 10012 W. McNab Road. The event will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., and guests will be able to purchase food.

The program, “Grab a Bite with BSO,” aims to make it easier for people in the area to meet their local first responders in a casual, pleasant setting. This gathering is not a formal meeting or public hearing. Instead, it allows residents the chance to ask questions, express their concerns, and learn more about the job deputies do to keep the community safe while having a casual dinner.

Attendees will be able to meet the BSO deputies who patrol their neighborhood on a regular basis, hear about initiatives to keep the public safe, and ask questions on everything from how to avoid crime to how to respond in an emergency. The structure encourages people to talk to one other, which helps law enforcement and the community they serve trust each other more and establish deeper connections.

These kinds of events are part of BSO’s continual efforts to establish links in the community. The organization wants deputies and citizens to get to know each other better by spending time together outside of work. “Grab a Bite with BSO” emphasizes that everyone is responsible for safety and that talking over a meal might be a good place to start.
