Pompano Beach, Florida – A woman’s life was tragically cut short following an accident over the weekend in Pompano Beach. The Broward Sheriff’s Office reported a severe traffic accident that took place under the dark, early morning sky.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office reported that the crash occurred at around 2:06 a.m. on Saturday. BSO deputies were alerted to a crash in the vicinity of Southwest 15th Street and South Dixie Highway. Upon arrival at the scene, they discovered a vehicle had crashed into a building still under construction, which possibly compounded the severity of the collision.
The driver, a woman whose identity was not disclosed, was the sole occupant of the vehicle. The circumstances leading up to her losing control and crashing remain unclear.
Rescue efforts were prompt as Pompano Beach Fire Rescue teams rushed to the scene. They transported the woman to a local hospital, where, unfortunately, despite their efforts, the woman’s injuries were too severe and she was pronounced dead.
