Juneteenth celebration in Tamarac will highlight freedom, culture and local pride
Tamarac, Florida – Tamarac residents are invited to gather this June for an evening built around remembrance, celebration and community connection as the city prepares to host its Juneteenth Community & Culture Block Party.
The free event is scheduled for Friday, June 19, at 6:00 p.m. at Tamarac Village, located at 9090 NW 57th Street. Designed as both a cultural celebration and a community gathering, the block party will bring people together to honor Juneteenth and recognize the lasting richness of Black culture, excellence and legacy.
Juneteenth carries deep meaning as a celebration of freedom, history and resilience. In Tamarac, that spirit will be reflected through an evening filled with music, creativity, pride and joy. Organizers are inviting families, neighbors and visitors to take part in a lively outdoor event where culture and community meet in one shared space.

Those attending can expect a wide mix of activities throughout the evening. The celebration will feature food trucks, live music, cultural performances, community organizations, a Black-owned marketplace and more. The event is intended to create an atmosphere where people can enjoy entertainment while also supporting local vendors, learning from community groups and celebrating the contributions of Black culture.
The Black-owned marketplace is expected to be one of the key parts of the event, giving guests a chance to browse and support businesses while enjoying the larger celebration. Cultural performances and live music will add to the energy of the evening, creating a festive setting for residents of all ages.
