Broward Connects podcast brings local government closer to residents through monthly stories
Broward County, Florida – The new podcast series Broward Connects from Broward County is making local government more accessible to the local residents. The podcast is quickly becoming a go-to source for locals looking for both information and inspiration. The most current episode, which came out on August 1, focuses on how important the 311 Broward Call Center is. This program answers more than 300,000 calls a year and helps people find their way through more than 65 county services. 311 helps consumers find answers to problems, from pothole reports to storm information. Maroe talks with Call Center Manager John Sam and long-time staff members who tell him stories about their hard work, efficiency, and how they help the community.
