Families and rescue groups to gather at Tamarac Park for community pet event on February 21

Tamarac, Florida – Families and animal lovers in Tamarac are getting ready for a fun community event focused on taking care of pets and keeping them healthy. The Furever Friends Pet Expo is coming up soon.

It’s a free public event at Tamarac Park on February 21, 2026. The city is counting down the days. The purpose of the event is to bring people together and show them the responsibilities and advantages of caring for cats and dogs.

City officials, such as Mayor Michelle J. Gomez and District 2 Commissioner Morey Wright, are likely to be at the event. Their presence shows how important it is to the city to promote responsible pet ownership and make it easier for pet families in the area to find useful services.

Organizers claim that the event will raise awareness about how to take care of animals properly and provide people a chance to donate money to help pet owners who need food and treats for their pets.

In addition to raising awareness and reaching out, the exhibition will offer useful services and hands-on activities. Microchipping on-site will help owners keep their pets safer, and training demonstrations will show off valuable skills and approaches.

Adoption possibilities will also be very important. They will let future pet owners start the adoption process and, in some cases, bring home a new pet the same day.

Many rescue groups, animal care organizations, and pet-related businesses are scheduled to be there, making the park a fun and informative place to be. The event will be relevant and fun for people of all ages because of the mix of services, education, and community involvement.

The Furever Friends Pet Expo will be in Tamarac Park, 7501 North University Drive, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. People who live in the area are welcomed to bring their pets to the event, but pets must stay on a leash.

As the event approaches, the Tamarac community is looking forward to a morning full of connection, kindness, and lots of tail-wagging.
