Free Fishing Village Shuttle gives Pompano Beach visitors new way to reach the waterfront
Pompano Beach, Florida – A trip to Pompano Beach is getting a little easier just as one familiar parking option disappears. With the W Hotel parking lot closing, the city is adding a free shuttle aimed at keeping beachgoers moving without adding more pressure to already busy parking areas near the waterfront.
Beginning Friday, October 2, Pompano Beach will launch its new Fishing Village Shuttle, expanding the city’s free Ride Circuit program with on-demand transportation to and from the Fisher Family Pier and beach. The new service will operate Fridays through Sundays and on holidays from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The shuttle is designed specifically to address parking demand around the beach while giving residents and visitors another way to reach the shoreline.

People who are already inside the new Fishing Village service area, marked in green on the city’s service map, will be able to request a ride from a home or business directly to the beach. Return trips from the Fisher Family Pier and beach will also be available.
For visitors coming from outside the service area, the city is adding two free weekend Park & Ride locations. Drivers can leave their vehicles at City Hall, 100 W. Atlantic Boulevard, or at the Old Town parking lot at NE 2nd Street and NE 2nd Avenue.

From either location, riders can request a free Pompano Circuit trip directly to the Fisher Family Pier and beach. Those Park & Ride trips are intended to operate directly between the designated parking area and the waterfront.
The expanded Pompano Circuit fleet includes three vehicles with different capacities. One can carry up to five passengers, another holds up to six, and the largest can accommodate as many as 15 people.
Wheelchair-accessible transportation is also available. The vehicles are designed to handle the kinds of items beach visitors commonly bring with them, including chairs, coolers, bags and other beach-day gear.

The city’s existing Circuit service will continue operating within its current service area, identified in blue on the service map. The Fishing Village Shuttle adds another layer to that system rather than replacing the current routes.
Riders can request transportation through the Ride Circuit App, available through the App Store.
