HERS Awards to recognize exceptional Caribbean women in arts, business, and justice at July 20 event

Tamarac, Florida – Caribbean culture and sisterhood will take center stage on Sunday, July 20, as Island SPACE Caribbean Museum teams up with District 2 Commissioner Morey Wright to present HERS: Honoring Exceptionally Regal Sisters — a vibrant, soul-nourishing celebration of Caribbean women. Taking place from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Colony West in Tamarac, the event promises a unique mix of empowerment, culture, and creativity.
This annual gathering highlights the beauty, power, and contributions of Caribbean women through a thoughtfully curated experience designed to inspire and uplift. From fashion to wellness, art to business, HERS offers something for everyone looking to celebrate the spirit of Caribbean womanhood.
One of the afternoon’s main attractions is the HERS Awards ceremony, which recognizes outstanding Caribbean women making significant strides in the arts, business, and social justice. These women serve as role models, breaking barriers and making meaningful change in their communities and beyond.
Adding to the energy of the day will be a Luxe, Ethno-Chic Fashion Show, showcasing stylish, Caribbean-inspired designs that blend traditional influences with modern flair. Attendees are encouraged to come dressed in “Island Chic” attire to join in the spirit of celebration.

Beyond the stage and workshops, artisan vendors will bring even more color and creativity to the event. Guests can shop handmade goods, crafts, and treats from local, women-owned businesses, offering both support and a unique cultural shopping experience.
Light refreshments will be served throughout the afternoon, providing the perfect backdrop for connecting with other guests and engaging in uplifting conversation.
Tickets are available at tiered pricing: $25 for early-bird purchases, $30 pre-sold, and $35 at the door. Those interested in becoming a vendor or sponsoring the event can reach out to the organizers at [email protected].
