Community meeting in Miramar on March 10 to detail near, mid and long term transit improvements
Miramar, Florida – Residents in Broward County’s District 7 will have an opportunity to hear directly about the future of public transportation during an upcoming community presentation in Miramar.
On Tuesday, March 10, from 5:30 to 7 p.m., Broward County Transit will outline its TransitFORWARD 2040 Vision Plan at the Alexandra P. Davis Multi-Service Complex, located at 6700 Miramar Parkway. The session is being hosted by District 7 Commissioner Alexandra P. Davis and is open to the public.
The TransitFORWARD 2040 Vision Plan centers on a long-range strategy to modernize the county’s transit system. During the presentation, attendees will learn about proposed improvements scheduled across three timeframes: near-term, mid-term, and long-term phases. The plan is designed to reshape and strengthen the existing network, focusing on updates intended to improve service and better meet community needs over time.
County officials are expected to walk participants through the recommendations and explain how the proposed changes would be implemented in stages. By dividing the vision into short-, medium-, and long-range actions, the plan lays out a structured path toward modernization rather than a single sweeping overhaul.
