Tamarac Fire Rescue EMS team seeks community support for international competition in Brazil

Tamarac, Florida – A plate of spaghetti and meatballs will soon become part of something bigger in Tamarac. What might look like an ordinary dinner will actually be a friendly competition with an international goal: helping local emergency medical responders travel to Brazil to compete.

The upcoming event, called Sauce & Sirens, promises an evening of food, community support and a little rivalry between fire rescue stations. Residents will have an opportunity to enjoy a meal, choose their favorite station and contribute to a fundraising effort supporting Tamarac’s EMS team.

Mayor Gomez and Tamarac Fire Rescue EMS are inviting community members to participate in the event on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Kings Point Clubhouse, located at 7620 Nob Hill Road.

The three-hour gathering will center on a spaghetti and meatballs showdown, with attendees getting a chance to vote for the Best Station. The friendly competition adds an entertaining element to an evening organized around a specific purpose.

The money raised will help send Tamarac’s EMS team to Brazil, where members are expected to participate in a competition.

Along with the food and station voting, the event will feature raffle prizes, giving guests another activity to enjoy during the fundraiser.

Organizers have established two ticket prices based on whether attendees live in the Kings Point community.

Kings Point residents can attend for $10 per person, while non-Kings Point residents will pay $15. Participation is restricted to adults ages 18 and older.

Ticket purchasing arrangements also differ between the two groups. Kings Point residents can purchase admission directly at the box office, while people living outside Kings Point can secure their tickets through the event’s online registration page.

Non-Kings Point residents can purchase tickets online here.

Beyond the dinner itself, Sauce & Sirens gives Tamarac residents a way to support the emergency medical responders who serve their community.

The fundraising effort also connects a local gathering with an opportunity for Tamarac’s EMS professionals to take part in a competition outside the United States.

For those planning to attend, the choice is straightforward: come hungry, enjoy the spaghetti and meatballs, cast a vote for the favorite station and help support the EMS team’s trip to Brazil.
