Commissioner Marlon D. Bolton set to host special event to help Tamarac families get ready for school

Tamarac, Florida – This summer, Tamarac residents will have something spectacular to look forward to: Commissioner Marlon D. Bolton will host the much anticipated “District Night Out” on August 5. The event will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. at Legacy at Rock Island Road. It promises to be a fantastic night full of community spirit and generous giveaways.

Families with children heading back to school will have a lot of reasons to attend. A big part of the night will be a back-to-school giveaway, where kids may get free backpacks and school supplies. Only people who live in Tamarac and have the 33319 or 33309 zip code can take advantage of this opportunity. Attendees may need to provide proof of residency, therefore they should carry appropriate documents.

Along with helping students, the first 200 residents from the same zip codes who meet the requirements will each get a $50 supermarket gift card. This program’s goal is to provide local families a helping boost as they get ready for the new school year.

But the night isn’t only about free stuff. It’s also about getting people in the community together in a joyful atmosphere. There will be a lot of things to do at the event, like bounce houses, face painting stations, and live talent auditions. This makes it a great outing for families with kids of all ages. There will be food trucks on site providing up local favorites, and there will also be booths with information for people looking for community resources.
