Tree planting, waste reduction, and recycling projects get a boost in Broward County

Broward County, Florida – Broward County has received $100,000 from the Bloomberg Philanthropies’ Youth Climate Action Fund, therefore significantly enhancing local environmental initiatives. This money will specifically assist young people between the ages of 15 and 24 who are actively working on community-driven initiatives to mitigate climate change.

With this most recent funding, Broward’s sustainability dedication advances significantly. The County got $50,000 last year via the same program, and with more money, local young people will now have more chances to get involved. Applications for the microgrants are now open and will be accepted through March 15, 2025. Eligible young groups and people are encouraged to submit applications online to get money for their projects with an eye toward the environment.
