Tamarac prepares for festive night as Candy Cane Lane celebration returns to the Village Amphitheater

Tamarac, Florida – Tamarac is getting ready for a fun night of holiday happiness. Residents will meet along Candy Cane Lane for a community event sponsored by Mayor Michelle J. Gomez. The event will be on Saturday, December 13, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Tamarac Village Amphitheater. Families, students, and neighbors will all gather together for a fun night under the lights.

This year’s event is extra special since the Millennium 6-12 Collegiate Academy Class of 2027 is partnering with the organizers. Their students will be involved in the activities and performances during the night. Their participation brings a fresh energy to an event that already draws crowds eager to celebrate the season with joy and shared tradition.

Food trucks will be parked all across the amphitheater, serving up a range of snacks and meals for people who want to eat or just grab a quick bite. Families will have a lot to do in the space, which will be full with games and hands-on activities. Craft stations will let kids make things that go with the season, and live performances will bring music and movement to the center of the celebration.

There will also be a toy drive during the event, where people are encouraged to bring new, unopened items to help families in the area that are having a hard time. The collection has become an established component of the yearly event, showing how much the community cares about being generous over the holidays.

The evening will be a welcoming place for both long-time residents and newcomers, since everyone can come in for free and at any age. Organizers want everyone to bring friends, get into the holiday spirit, and have a night full of simple, happy moments.
