Mom & Me Candle Creations event brings meaningful Mother’s Day celebration for mothers and their kids on May 2
Tamarac, Florida – The City of Tamarac is hosting a special hands-on event for families who want to celebrate Mother’s Day in a meaningful way. They will have the chance to slow down, get creative, and spend time together.
The city is encouraging mothers and children to join “Mom & Me Candle Creations,” a candle-making session that is meant to bring people together through creativity.
The main activity is making a candle with a unique aroma from start to finish. This gives participants the chance to do something special while spending time together.

The workshop will take place on Saturday, May 2, at 10:30 a.m. at the Tamarac Recreation Center, located at 7501 N. University Drive. Workshop organizers say it is set up so that everyone may feel welcome, including people who have never made a candle before.
Families will be able to focus on having fun with the activity instead of worrying about their experience or how to be ready for it because all the resources will be provided and help will be accessible throughout the event.
A lot of people wrap their Mother’s Day gifts with paper and ribbon. This event is different because you may make a souvenir together. Participants will work together to choose scents, pour the candle, and finish it, turning a simple activity into a shared experience.
For one adult and one child, the cost is $25. For each extra person, there is an extra $10 cost. There isn’t a lot of space, so you need to sign up ahead of time. People who want to go must sign up by Tuesday, April 28, at Tamarac.me/Webtrac.
City officials encourage families to book their spaces early because there aren’t many spots available to keep things nice and calm.

The event’s goal is to provide people a heartfelt way to commemorate Mother’s Day, one aroma, one smile, and one handmade candle at a time, with creativity at the core and time together as the real present.
