Tamarac celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month with free music, dancing and food on September 18

Tamarac, Florida – A Friday night in Tamarac will soon trade the usual end-of-week routine for live music, dancing and the flavors of several cuisines. The city is turning Tamarac Village Amphitheater into a gathering place for a three-hour celebration of Hispanic culture.
The City of Tamarac will host its Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration on Friday, September 18, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Admission is free, giving families and friends a chance to enjoy an evening built around music, food and community.
The celebration will take place at Tamarac Village Amphitheater, 9090 NW 57th Street.
Annya of The Annya Experience will host the event, while Catabella Music will take the stage for a live performance. DJ Thunder will keep the music going throughout the evening, adding another reason for visitors to make room for dancing.

Food will also have a major presence. The announced lineup includes The Lemon Squeeze, Fatty Mattys, Dimelo Papi Pinchos, El Salvaje Food Trailer, Glow Bowl Food Truck, N.Y. Gyro, Caprichos Mexicano, JM Argentine Grill, Bakin Sunshine and Flava Crush Cuisine. Market vendors will also be part of the celebration.
Parking at the amphitheater will be limited, but the city is offering another option. Free continuous shuttle service will operate between the Tamarac Community Center, 8601 W. Commercial Blvd., and Tamarac Village Amphitheater from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
City officials are also warning prospective vendors to be cautious of scams connected to the event. Anyone interested in becoming a food or merchant vendor should use the information provided at Tamarac.gov/SpecialEvents or contact the Tamarac Parks and Recreation Department at 954-597-3620.
Those are the only authorized methods for securing vendor space. The city advises people not to contact Facebook users who claim to be selling tickets or vendor opportunities. The celebration itself is free to attend.
Bands interested in being considered for future Concert in the Park events can also submit information to Justin Bowens at [email protected], including the band’s name, genre and links to its website, YouTube channel or other material. Submission does not guarantee a place in a future lineup.
