The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard and Dixie Highway. Emergency response units from the Broward Sheriff’s Office and Pompano Beach Fire Rescue were dispatched to the scene, where they found a white Lexus severely damaged under the front of the train.

The Brightline train, reportedly traveling over 100 miles per hour, collided with the vehicle under circumstances that are still being investigated. As of Wednesday morning, there has been no report of injuries or fatalities from this incident. As first responders handled the aftermath and started an investigation, they cordoned off the area around the railroad tracks on Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard Road and West Atlantic Boulevard.
