Miami, Florida – Everyone using the Miami International Airport should know that there is a new interesting feature at the airport that was just launched and it might change your whole traveling experience at no cost. Between gates H5 and H7 in the South Terminal, the Miami International Airport has officially started a book exchange program, a dedicated place where you can swap your old books with books that are were already left there. The best part – it’s free of charge!
Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava promotes the program

“This is another example of how our MIA team is ready to go above and beyond to ensure our residents and visitors the best experience when traveling,” she said.
This idea for a book exchange was proposed by Miami-Dade County Commissioner Raquel A. Regalado. She’s part of the County’s Airport and Economic Development Committee and wanted to make time at the airport more enjoyable. She believes that this tiny change at the airport should improve the whole airport and traveling experience to many travelers.
“I am delighted to see the implementation of such an enriching initiative at our airport,” said Commissioner Regalado. “This complimentary book exchange program is designed to enhance the travel experience for passengers passing through Miami.”
Miami-Dade Public Library donated 1,000 for project start
Miami-Dade Public Library helped the project start with donating 1,000 books for all ages and different genres. Even though the official opening of this mini library took place just few months ago in October, airport officials confirmed that many travelers are already taking advantage of the program and they expect the interest to grow in the future.
The location holds up to 100 books every day. All kinds of books are welcome, including children’s books.
