Residents encouraged to help shape city’s future as Fort Lauderdale advances tree-planting goals

Fort Lauderdale, Florida – Fort Lauderdale is moving decisively to enhance its urban environment and lower air pollution by implementing a thorough Urban Forestry Master Plan meant to increase the city’s tree cover to 33% by the year 2040. Apart from improving the visual attractiveness of the city, this ambitious initiative seeks to have significant environmental advantages including better air quality and increased shade in public areas.
The city has started a series of actions to let residents help to define this vision.
