Tamarac Mayor Michelle J. Gomez helps bring World Cup excitement to local fans, sets watching parties for everyone
Tamarac, Florida – For soccer fans in Tamarac, the World Cup spirit will not be limited to stadium seats or long trips to Miami. The View at Colony West and Tamarac Mayor Michelle J. Gomez are bringing the excitement closer to home with a series of World Cup Watch Parties at Colony West, giving families, friends, and fans a place to gather, cheer, eat, and enjoy the matches together.

The watch parties will be held at Colony West, located at 6850 NW 88th Avenue. The setting is designed for a lively match-day atmosphere, with multiple screens showing the action, along with food and drinks available as part of the experience. For those who may not have made the World Cup team, or who cannot travel to see the games in person, Tamarac is offering another way to feel part of the moment.
Four watch parties are planned, beginning Wednesday, June 24, when Scotland faces Brazil at 6:00 p.m. The next event is scheduled for Saturday, June 27, with Colombia taking on Portugal at 7:30 p.m.

Fans can return on Friday, July 3, for a matchup between the Group J winners and the Group H runners-up at 6:00 p.m. The celebration will then build toward the final watch party on Sunday, July 19, when the finals will be shown at 3:00 p.m.
Organizers are encouraging residents to mark the dates early and register in advance. Registration is requested online at ColonyWestGolfClub.com or by calling 954-721-7710, extension 4.
Tickets are priced at $20 per game for adults. Each adult ticket includes one drink, with options such as a soft drink, house cocktail, beer, or wine. It also includes a featured appetizer and a takeaway item. Children’s tickets are $10 per game and include one kids’ entrée, a soft drink, and a takeaway item.
