Broward County keeps World Cup fever alive with three more free arena watch parties

Broward County, Florida – Broward County’s World Cup celebration is not slowing down after its first big night in Sunrise. With one watch party already behind it, the county is preparing to host three more free public gatherings at Amerant Bank Arena, giving soccer fans in Greater Fort Lauderdale a place to watch the tournament together on a large stage.

The watch parties are being organized by Broward County in partnership with the Florida Panthers. The goal is simple: bring residents, visitors and families into one lively setting as international soccer takes over the summer. Admission is free. Parking is free. Fans can reserve up to six tickets for each event, making the arena a shared home base for friends, families and supporters of the world’s game.

The first event took place Friday, June 12, when fans gathered for the USA vs. Paraguay match at 9 p.m. Now, attention turns to the remaining schedule, which will carry the excitement deeper into the tournament.

The next watch party is set for Saturday, June 27, at 7:30 p.m., when Colombia faces Portugal. Two more events will follow as the stakes rise: a Quarterfinals watch party on Saturday, July 11, at 5 p.m., and a Finals watch party on Sunday, July 19, at 3 p.m.

Before each match, fans will find more than just soccer on the screen. The Plaza outside the arena’s main doors will open the day with pregame activities, including food trucks, face painting, inflatables, games and other family-friendly entertainment. Parking gates will open two hours before kickoff, while arena doors will open one hour before the match begins.

Broward County Transit will also help fans get to the arena. Special Park & Ride service will be available for the watch parties, with free parking offered at select Park & Ride locations for riders using a BCT One-Day Pass.

The events are part of Broward County’s broader effort to turn the World Cup into a community moment, not just a televised sporting event. For soccer fans, casual viewers and families looking for a free summer outing, Amerant Bank Arena will offer three more chances to gather, cheer and feel the pulse of the tournament together.
