Broward County invites business owners to learn about trade-zone incentives

Broward County, Florida – Businesses looking for a smarter way to grow will have a chance to explore new tools, cost-saving options and development resources when Broward County hosts an informative workshop focused on Foreign-Trade Zone No. 25.

The workshop is scheduled for May 5, 2026, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Lauderhill Performing Arts Center, located at 3800 NW 11th Place in Lauderhill. The session is designed for business owners and operators who want to better understand how foreign-trade zone benefits and local support programs may help them reduce expenses, strengthen operations and plan for future growth.

At the center of the event is Foreign-Trade Zone No. 25, a program connected to international commerce and economic development opportunities in Broward County. Participants will have the chance to learn about duty exemptions and deferrals, along with federal, state and local incentives that may be available to help businesses become more competitive.

The workshop will also highlight investment opportunities, job creation strategies and growth-focused resources that can support companies at different stages of development. For many businesses, the value of the session may come not only from the information shared, but from the chance to ask questions and connect directly with people who work closely with these programs.

Experts from Port Everglades and Broward County’s Office of Economic and Small Business Development will be available to guide attendees through the resources and explain how businesses can explore programs designed to support long-term success.

The county’s message is simple: companies do not have to search for growth opportunities alone. By bringing together trade-zone knowledge, economic development guidance and small business support in one setting, Broward County is offering a practical starting point for businesses that want to save money, expand wisely and build stronger foundations for the future.

For business owners considering their next move, the May 5 workshop offers a timely opportunity to learn what support exists, how those tools may apply to their operations and where new pathways for growth may begin.
